just found this out myself, if you have air in the abs pump you need vagcom to sort it
did you bleed the master cyclinder on both nipples??
luckily i didnt need the vagcom when i done mine

put key to ignition and pump brake pedal till it goes rock hard, then with pressure on pedal start the car, if pedal goes down slightly then your servo is working fine

Well i had fun yest replaced 3 bleed nipples as there were foobard and then had fun with a sheared bolt and a odd drop link http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/t/379564.aspx

Going to get hold off Vag com and wire then bleed all again and master servo then prim ABS pump and see how it is after.

How had is it to do the servo and the vag the ABS ?

you need to bleed the master cyclinder mate i had the same issue the other day posted a thread bout it, do the master cyclinder first, nipple closest to the bulk head first then the other, then bleed back drivers, back pass, front pass & front drivers that should hopefully do it it did for me,
i just couldnt get any brakes at all, i bled every caliper twice!! then i found out i had to do the master cyclinder and now i have brakes lol

If your MS fails, you have NO pedal, usually find brake fluid leaking into back of footwell from it aswell.
