A smaller show, but was top notch last year, great way to finish off the show season, with many of the countries top VWs on show.. http://www.westsidevw.co.uk/

Thanks for the compliments guys, its much appreciated, in all honesty though, I never expect to win anything, because, I always think that someone else's is better... I dont know why, maybe I'm to critical of my own car, my own work. When I painted the car 6 years ago, it was just to tidy it up and use as a daily hack to and from work, my Mk2, is by no means the "best" that I can do. Bearing in mind that I bought it over 8 years ago, even Mk2 golfs, in my eyes were nothing special.... only the passing of time, and seeing the way Mk1s have gone over the last few years has changed my opinion of what I now think of Golfs
Judging at events like Westside, is bound to be very subjective, due to the nature of the show, (I would stand a better chance in the Concours section at GTI inters) it bothers me not in the slightest, though I have wondered many times before, whether it would be a different story, if my car was Oak green instead of Jade
My next project, should it get off the ground, may be a different kettle of fish though :lipsrsealed:
Mr Blue, sorry, I didn't click that it was you I was talking to  but thats just me all over :lipsrsealed:

Didnt make this in the end. I had to work.
kinda gutted as i couldnt make last year either.
As per the mk2 in question. I think it rocks. Its pretty much everything i want mine to be engine bay wise, thats why i love it so much. agreed, there is a lot of hype about it on the forums. In my eyes, semi deserved. For the fact it being the car it is, not who it is/who built it. Either way, i love it.

Excellent drive down with Thom, always a little challenging as he does not hang about at all..
Great day out and good to see a few peeps, we were in the company of some excellent vehicles and also some very 'I is it' type characters but hey over the years you get use to elite tier of affairs, roll on 2011..

Correctly placed cobwebs, made by a certain type of spider, are good for "Scene points" Tesh, I'm sure that you knew that....
