Evening all
To save me a drive to my nearest VW dealer tomorrow I was wondering if any of you had any advice?
The connection to my ipod stopped so when I pressed "media" it showed no tunes.
Ipod is fully charged and works fine with the media-in socket.
Any suggestions?

I had a similar problem with mine, it would not start when I pushed the media button. I reset the iPod(hold down the Meni and the centre button at the same time) and afterwards everything was fine.

Thanks for that. I just popped outside to try your technique but found that it worked again. yipeeeeee
The car must have reset itself.

I sometimes get a message saying something like "media devce without function".
I just reset the iPod then it works again.

Mine often does this if I haven't listened to the iPod for a few days - and when I select media, it comes up with that error a few seconds later. Usually resetting the iPod sorts it.

Does anybody get their Ipod just stopping suddenly and when this happens AUX is displayed on the car stereos screen?

It's happened to me a couple of times. The first time it corrected itself. The second time I just unplugged the iPod from the car system and plugged it back in again, and everything was fine again.

I have just had the IPOD dock replaced and the headunit, due to no connection between MIDI cable and headunit. Positive note is that the steeler has upgraded the unit to a DAB one !!!! thank you santa  Anyone know how to get a DAB ariel fit without removing the sharkfin?
