Title: Radiator Fan not Switching on!
Post by: 87_PROJECT on 25 January 2005, 10:44
hi another question...

My radiator fan wont switch on. wheres the next place to check? Ive tested the fuse...and tried a different radiator fan...(I had a spare) Im presuming the next thing would be the sensor or switch itself...am I right in thinking these are both next to each other right in front of the engine...?

I have tried taking off/wiggling/cleaning the spade connectors but still no joy!...

So main question is which part shall I try next?

I found out the fan wont come on the hard way in London traffic the other day!!! (I overheated badly...) is there anything I should check after overheating...It seems fine?

mine only comes on if I've been sat in traffic for ages. if I'm moving it's fine.

Could a faulty engine temp sensor relate to this?

Must be a faulty fan switch.
As Blue said, bottom right side of radiator.
