Title: Tyre pressures on 18s
Post by: JamesR27 on 24 September 2010, 17:33
I was just wondering what psi or bar you guys were putting in your tyres. I checked mine this week and they were at front 30 and rear 33.
Looking at the fuel flap mine says 38psi or 2.6 bar I think all round and my previous mk5 with 18 also said 2.4 bar all round. So was wondering what is best. The car came fitted with dunlops this time and was wondering with different compounds and tyre making that they might require more pressure than my previous bridgestones.

37-38ish on the GTD as per flap, tyres seem to be wearing well at that pressure too. 8500 miles.

I have been setting mine on the GTD at 38 aswell... Rears are like new still.. fronts are starting to show wear but doing well for 13k miles.

Mine are Dunlops too, i always put 40psi all round as your supposed to do them cold but how can you do that when you have to drive to the petrol station to inflate them??
