Title: Mk2 Bumper Conversion
Post by: dubvrs on 24 January 2005, 23:11
Due to my lack of mk2 knowledge i require the following info  :embarassed:

When i got my mk2 it was lowered 40mm with big bumpers and catch's on my drive (as quite steep) so i have removed the big bumpers and now have a lot more ground clearance so i lowered it 80mm  and have a cl lower spoiler to go on.

I want to put small bumpers on but need to know a couple of things.

I have 2 holes for each bumper mount and the small bumpers have one. Do the small bumper mounts just go into the top holes and will the bumper small bumper cover the lower holes. Car is in body shop at the moment so can get the lower holes welded up.

Dont want to get it back from a full respray then need the holes welding up

you could fill the lower set of holes with grommets and then if you fancy the big bumpers again just take the grommets out and swap the guides and bumpers over.
