Hopefully someone can help, i got this Alpine Headunit, im not great with audio stuff and im struggling to work out what all the plugs are for
I've taken pics so hopefully someone can help
This one, im pretty sure one of these is for an AUX adapter which i need to buy, the plug on the left is on a short cable from the back of the HU

I know one pair of these are for plugging my sub/amp into, not sure which ones though?

and this one was already in the car tucked away in the dash, it doesnt seem to do anything afaik, just wondering what its for?

in the first pic you will need the bus lead that plugs into the h/u itself
it is alpine part number kca-121b
the 2nd pic is the front rear and sub rca outputs (the sub out is the green one)
the third one is a pic of a pioneer changer or ipod adapter so just rip it out

right, cheers
Ive found a few different cables for the Aux in, some go straight to a 3.5mm jack and some go to a pair of rca style plugs
These two look like they fit the round plug

But then theres some which look like they woulf fit the flat sided plug

are the front and rear rca outputs used for Amps for the component speakers then?
-
front and rear are for amps to run components or coaxials yes
you can use either the 3.5mm or rca plug one it all depends on what you plan on plugging in
-
Well i want to plug a phone/mp3 player in so 3.5mm jack, but do i want one that plugs into the round plug(right of 1st pic) or the one with a flat side?(left of 1st pic)
-
the round plug thats the one i gave you the part number for originally
