hi, i need to know asap if this injectors will upgrade my stock ones. They belong to a VOLVO 2.3L and they are 30lb
They don't have many info of it so i need to ask you guys if trough the photo they will fit my 1.8t GU engine.
Thank you(http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/2918/59246370.jpg)

Pretty sure that saab red tops (Bosch) which are rated at 32lbs at 3psi are the ones you need. They may be the same as the volvo ones you mention.
-
hi, thank you for your answer. The AGU stock injectors are EV6, i don't know if an EV1 will fit. Most of the injectors available on ebay, are EV1. Those red tops from Saab will fit on the AGU? I already have a 4bar FPR to upgrade my 3bar stock FPR.

calibra turbo yellow injectors and saab reds can be used, both flow more than stock injectors. however running just a 4 bar fpr with theinjectors wont be enough. You really need to upgrade the stock fuel pump to something like a walbro 225 inline pump

Are you saying to use this one too? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270618432016&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

can I ask why you are upgrading injectors?

can I ask why you are upgrading injectors?
Sure. I am collecting all the necessary material for the upgrade i am planning for my gti. I already have many stuff. When i have all the material, i'll upgrade it. I can'd pay for all this things in 1 shot lol, the money doesn't grow my friend lol
-
I know it doesn't, are you going for ko4??

Yes
-
Do you really need to upgrade injectors for k04 ?? cant you just run the standard ones at a higher duty ??
-
at that point they may be sruggling but the main thing that could restrict you is the standard fuel pump. like i said get a good inline fuel pump, calibra yellow injectors and a 4 bar fpr. this will then ensure the car is being able to fuel the engine easy enough and then just a case of working around that. Rather than having the car set up only to find that your restricted due to weak fuelling system.
-
But, those injectors will be plug & play? I don't want to adapt injectors. I would like to replace only but with a higher CC.
-
just replacing injectors wouldnt really make a benefit as if they have a higher flow rate then the rest of the fuelling system needs to be able to supply them and then also map set accordingly. Yes they are a direct fit on AGU's
-
Remember someone said uprating injectors early could be harmful to the engine, only whack them on before the remap as apparently the rate and duty could be harmful in the higher rev's not sure how true this is?
-
I wont fit them firstly. I'll fit them before turbo swap and remap. I'll buy a walbro 255 next month to feed the higher flow injectors.
-
without them being mapped they will run richer higher up the revs..
-
without them being mapped they will run richer higher up the revs..
What do you mean?
-
They will run the car fine.. but until they are mapped because of they're flow rate they will run the engine a little richer up the revs well thats what ive been told.. just fit them and then get the car custom mapped to suit to get the most out of the fuelling etc..
-
Thought bigger injectors can do alot more worse damage, overfueling a bit can be helpful as it can aid in turbo cooling etc, but a tad more overfueling and you would get bore wash?
-
I wouldnt run big injectors for a prolonged period but putting them on for a few days before you get it mapped there shouldn't be any harm done..
-
you then have the problem of keeping them fuelled to run to there full duty circle, if the fuel system before the injectors isnt up to scratch then you run the risk of using the fuel in the fuel rail more quickly, injectors would still run at same cycle but if not sufficent fuel there then you would get a weak mixture which would cause damage.
before fitting injectors
fit new fuel pump
then injectors and fpr
