Title: 1.3 driveshaft problem

I knocked the outer cv apart when putting my coillies on and didn't realise, this stripped the splines and i had to get a new one. Got a new one and after 2 months and a few bumps the inner CV killed itself, don't know why as i bought it from a motor factors not a scrappy. i took it back to the shop and he replaced it but when i put this second one on the inner CV seems 1 or 2mm bigger than the gearbox flange? It wont sit flush and knocks if its driven? i tightened the 6 bolts up doing the alternate sides as to make sure it tightened evenly so i dont know what might be wrong? Any ideas?

Is the 1.3 gearbox flange 90mm?

problem solved!

For anyone who's interested i orded a new inner C.V. joint and compared the two the brand new one,the old one was ever so slightly bigger than the gearbox flange. You could only tell by placeing the inner joint up to the gearbox flange and wobbling it a bit. the older one never fully sat inside the flange wheras the new one almost clicked into place.

I'm putting it down to the fact that driveshafts are often reconditioned and effectivly canniblised, i think the wrong C.V. has been put on the wrong driveshaft in the factory!
