Title: LED rear lights
Post by: countrytrucker on 21 September 2010, 11:27

Here is a question for the guys with LED rear lights (the retrofitted units).

I still haven't got around to getting mine fixed (I need them recoded to have the taillights running with the DRL).

My question is - do any of the units have brake lights in the inner and outer units?

I could have sworn I saw an R the other night with brake lights in all 4 light units. Perhaps I was just really tired and imagining things.

I tried every number from 0 to 255 on mine and could not get the innner lights on for braking.

Some very interesting combinations though

Mine's an early car (May 09), and all 4 lights light up when I brake. However my foglight triggers a bulb out message every time the engine is started. Swings and roundabouts.....

Mine only works with the outer lights when braking. But I managed to get the DRLs back working fine and no bulb out warning lights! All this bulb "such n such" is out is for the incompetent people out there how dont have a clue  :lipsrsealed: What has happened to the good old days where people crazily flash at you for days on end and you have no idea why!

I will have to get up to see you again Mike to see if we can get mine sorted.

I just need to add the LEDs onto the DRL setting so they light up when I unlock the car and also when I have the lights set to auto during the day.

Is there any way the appropriate wires could be spliced together?
