Title: AUDI TT WHEELS - WILL THEY FIT?

HI EVERYONE, IVE SEEN SOME AUDI TT 17" ALLOYS BUT I AM UNSURE IF THE TYRES WILL SCRUB. THEY ARE FITTED WITH 225/45 17 AND MY GOLF IS A 5DR GTI LOWERED 40MM ON SHOCKS AND SPRINGS. IF ANYONE CAN HELP IT WOULD BE APPRECIATED

You need to change the tyres to 205/40/17's

will those tyres not fit at all, cuz they are pictured on a mk3 on the advert

They will fit but rub badly and also will put the gearing / speedo out.

i have 17" audi RS4 style alloys on my mk3, running 205/40/17s on them, at least i think they are. no scrubbing issues, but it doesn't go anywhere in first gear. not sure if this is the same with all 16v or just as a result of mine having bigger wheels tho...
