I'm saving for coilovers for the mk5 but I'm wondering is it a DIY job or would I want to keep saving for a garage to do it? I installed the coilovers on my mk3 with help from my dad and it went smoothly but looking at pictures online the mk5's suspension looks more complex, especially at the back with the seperate spring and shock. Is it possible to do a DIY install with a normal socket set, jacks and axle stands or do you need special tools and a lift?
