i had no curb marks just a few pin hole size dots round very edge on the rears, then a truck decided to pull out on me, it was either let it wipe my car out or me try stop before hitting a central reservation, which i opted for and just touched it -  destroying a front rim, but these are strong wheels (thats what you get for buying porker) and i sent it off to an amazing guy in york who metal welded it to perfection, i also bought a 5th rim (as i didnt think he would be able to fix it to my high standards), so now i have 5 freshly refurbed rims in the exact same colour as before but with a tad more shine, they are sooo f**kin nice haha

putting standard rims on for the snow, i do too much miles to risk my D90's

here was the damage

This pic shows what was the damaged rim, now fully repaired to an amazing standard!!

Whatttttttttttt i would have been in TEARS!! the lip had completly come off!!!
Looks absolutely stunning with no visible damage! Looks like a trip to york if my 90's ever see some serious damage!
How much did it cost to get it welded mate?

i almost was in tears mate, i love my rims but end of day im still alive and so is the GF and the car.

i was so pissed off thats why my GF bought me a 5th rim (which was hard to source with it been 8J - came from a porsche breakers yard ) as we though it was beyond repair, testiment to the finish on the rims, it only come off on the actual bit where the lip is missing! top refurb from a top company with a super strong finish

it cost 60 quid for the welding and then 360 quid for all 5 fully refurbing which is a 5 way process for my one off finish

that includes
Acid Dip/strip
powder coat base coat,
wet spray black
wet spray a special silver (1 pass)
wet spray another special silver (1 pass) (not telling what silvers were used)
2 coats of laquer with a slight special tint

all that lot gives the gray colour with the sparkle bits andthe way it changes shade slightly light dependant

then baked

took them a week as he now knows how picky i am, he said he could just paint the damaged area and the 5th rim to save me money but i just wanted them all to be super mint not just 2 of the 5 rims so the whole lot was done, i was so happy when i saw them when i went to pick them up... they are a even better finish than before, dint think that was possible!!!
