Hi,

My names Nick and I'm a looking at getting back into Golfs. I used to have a mint MKII 8v but some little ******'s nicked it when it was off the road and uninsured (leason to be learned there I feel!!!). I'm now into mini's and have a highly tuned 1990 Cooper S which is supposed to be used for hill climbing and sprinting but also at the moment has to do the daily grind to and from work. I'm after another MKII 8v as a daily driver that I can tinker with when I have a few extra pennies that the mini hasn't eaten.

Golfs seem like a progrssion from minis , both cult cars , ive had more minis than golfs , used to have a 64 S , got myself a mk2 8v now , both cars remind me of each other alot

Cheers for the kind words about the mini, yeah I'm keeping it. I've bought the golf as a daily driver. So yes I saw it last night and picked it up an hour later.

Mint 87 MKII 8v in white with a full VAG service history for ?425. Just needs the cambelt doing which the last owner forgot to do and is now 10,000 miles overdue. It's booked in at the garage to have it done tomorrow.

Was bored and dug up my first ever thread. THis seems like a lifetime ago. Had about 5 different dubs since then as well as a fiat Siecento!
