Title: leather seats

im looking around for some leathers for my 3 door golf, all that seems to be around is 4 door ones and obviously they dont come with the tilt function that i need to access the back.

basically all i need to know is can i use my tilt mechanisms from my old seats and fit them to 4 door seats? and how much work is involved?

I am only guessing but I would imagine you would need to take all the seats apart to change. This would possibly rip the leather and waste your cash. You need to find a 3 door vr breaking really Buddy

As Deano said it will be a lot of work, you'd probably wreck the seats and waste your money. Hold out for a 3rd interior  :smiley:

GET RECAROS

They ALL  have tilt on them, even when in 5 door cars

so look for colour Concept leathers, they are Recaro and these are the seats to have in a MK3, even better after a retrim  :evil:

its hard enough finding standard 3 door leathers, how easy is it to find red colour concepts haha but yeah cheers dude, i thought it might be just a quick swap of the mechanisms but i dont wanna risk damaging my new seats, ill hold out a bit longer haha

I have a set of 3 door Colour concept seats (Red) I am tempted to sell - Send me a PM...

I had them in my 5 door but took them out when I sold it. (You can put 3 door seats into a 5 door but not the reverse!)

I have the doorcards too but they are for a 5 door...

with Recaros you can put them in either as iv already said  :rolleyes:, just the door cards that wont fit between 5 door and 3 door
