Title: Joined the Gti MkIII Gang

Just got myself a lovely Mk III Colour Concept, well chuffed, its full VWSH and uprated suspension and brakes.

Also has a noisy Jetex 80mm Round Trim exhaust system which I'm losing for a standard Volkswagen exhaust or similar if someone can recommend something.

( Also any offers for the exhaust that I'm removing welcomed )

Car sounds nice mate

As for a standard vw exhaust I would personally shop around for the best deal, but remember other people offer exhausts other than kwick fit and ats etc, so shop around your local garages as well.

Its the Jazz Blue one, 96N plate and f**kin immaculate.

Even still had the original Blaupunkt Radio/cassette player and manual! Just changed this for a nice wee Panasonic CD number and two new front tyres today.

Exhaust goes on on friday ?127 fully fitted from CAT back. Is that a reasonable price? I thought it was, especially since Arnold Clark Volkswagen in Paisley wanted ?217 + VAT!!!!!!

I love the alloys on your car, mine are 5 spoke BBS15" and look pish compared to yours. Believe yours are standard on the golf???

Where can I pick up a set? Or is there a section on here that I can buy off of other users?? Want to stick to 15" though.

Welcome to the mk3 ownership!

Funny you should ask about some mk3 GTI standard alloys..... Just so happens that I have some for sale that came off my car!! See my ebay auction, if you want you can make me a reasonable offer and I'll pull the auction for you (they are on the "parts for sale" bit aswell).  Some bloke emailed me about them today, the auction ends on sunday.

make sure the exhaust is a good fit. cheep ones r crap and rattle and knock. I had one done a a cheep place. got so arced off ended having a genuine vw one put on at mid vw
