It's just a photoshop for now,but i have bought some just waiting for the guy to get back to me about collecting.I'll find out if they are staggered when i pick them up,hope they are but the advert was very vague and got them dirt cheap, time will tell......................... :undecided:

Here is a better one to show how they should look

And a piss take when i asked for someone to make them smaller

Another wheel i did consider was the wheels off a C6

Most wheels will fit a mk4,you just need to find adaptor friendly offsets.

Have you thought about genuine schnitzer type 1's or 2's? Their fairly cheap and very nice looking with the same offset as the motorsport m3 evo rims.....

I actually wanted the sunflower wheels, but the price for those is stupid.

Mine were only £80 with tyres, coming off a 328i so hoping they are staggered and not just 7.5J's

You wanted the sunflowers!?   their nasty on any car IMO. I do like these though, the little dish is a nice touch and the genuine ones are awfully strong so are good for winter

i was told bmw wheels would be too wide to fit a mk4, passed up on a mint cheap set of e46 m3 alloys, gutted.

there actually a damn good looking wheel on that golf, if id seen them seperate i would have said they wouldnt suit it!

and +1, whats a centreless wheel?

E46 M3 wheels are too wide to fit on a mk4,well the rear wheels are,the offset is far too low to work with.

Post by: Grand Master Patch on 19 September 2010, 15:25
Picked up the M3 wheels earlier, they appear to be reps and are in worse condition than i thought so knocked the guy down to £60 which isn't bad for 4 wheels and tyres tbh.The inside of the wheel and spokes are black while the face is diamond cut,it's just the outer face that needs looking at,i'll have a go at sanding them if this rain ever stops and take it from there.

Post by: Grand Master Patch on 25 September 2010, 20:59
Had a quick go at sanding and lost interest within minutes, rang around and found a bloke that would sandblast them and took them down this morning.

The finish is very unique(they look like they are made of stone),i like the look and texture that much they are staying this way, once they have a coat of the same colour paint and a matt lacquer they are ready to go.

Pats pics do the rest

A realistic size photoshop

They were sand blasted,i stood there and watched him do it and the sand was all over the yard floor from previous jobs he's done.

Yeah they'll be getting painted the closest shade of silver i can find to how they are now.

As far as i can tell they are reps, all four are 7.5J
