this might seem im being a bit anal
but earlier today as the driver and i broke down twice in the work truck because of a dodgy rim, as it was fixed (twice) the mobile tyre fitter torqued up the nuts
common sense obviously
with all my cars, ive just tightened them till i cant tighten them anymore, but with the golf i want to do things properly
so does anyone know what pounds of torque pressure i need to tighten up the wheel nuts?
cheers

110nm is always what I have done mine up to or check the manual.

I go with the whole 'It wont go on any more' idea, but 110nm sounds about right :D
-
110nm is fine, but that is a dry torque figure.
If you've got copper slip on the bolts - I genuinely have no idea, some say torque less, some say torque more. I put copperslip on my bolts and just stick to factory torque figures and check regularly.

on a completely different note, but as i did start this thread, saves me making a new one...
i need to know the shade of silver my car is, any ideas?
mk4 golf gti, 1.8 20v, T-reg
cheers

Most likely Reflex Silver. The actual code is under the carpet on the boot floor.
