As your gearbox is a 5 speed box yeah It will fit.

I would imagine you'd need to keep specific to your engine and box really, I'd have thought the 2.0 clutch wouldn't handle the same power as a 1.8t surely?

Most have a 228mm clutch. Same as the 2.0 8v mk3 as well. Hence why the G60 and VR6/16v Clutch and flywheel is an upgrade.

Would the 2.0 box not be different ratios  :undecided:

1.8t swap with 1.8t

anything in perticular i need to do???
and wheres best place to get a clutch from without breaking the bank???
been quoted 700 to have new clutch and fitted at garage cheers

Go into maintenance bit of mk4 section there is a thread called vr6/g60 upgrade read that and you will have all the info you need mate.. you looking at about 250-300 for parts fit yourself its simple enough and then you've saved 400+ on garage costs..
