Post by: antonis on 13 September 2010, 23:31
Is it possible to fit a DSG gearbox on a manual transmission gti, i.e., replace it?

Yes it's possible (and costly) but the vehicle wiring is different between the two models and your ecu will have to be reprogrammed.

You would be better going and getting a car equipped with DSG.

+1

in my opinion you would be better swapping your car for a DSG and suffering a loss on your car - would save you so much hassle later on

Haven't tried a DSG, but its hardly like the manual is a chore to use!
