How Do,
I am looking at buying a GT TDI to tide me over for the next 18 months till I'm 25.
I want either a 110, 115 or 130 as the point of this car is to make my insurance cheaper whilst I rack up some no claims so a 150 kinda defeats the point.
I was wondering what the differences is primarily between the 110 and 115 brake cars?
Is it worth me putting the extra effort and slightly more cash in to get a 115?
I will be having the car live mapped by msd in blackpool to give it a bit more umph, and sticking some nice wheels on it, my second question is do 18's slow it down a noticeable amount? and is there any rubbing when car is full?
If I can find a black car I'm prob gonna go for a set of chromed rs4's but dunno wether to go 17 or 18's, especially with the price of 18" tyres.
Cheers for any help

Go for the 115 as this engine is the "Pumpe Duse" engine and therefore better for mapping/chipping etc. The 110 is the older "AFN" engine which, still can be tuned quite reasonably. will not be as much fun as the 115. the 115 GTTDI also comes with the 6 speed gearbox as standard as well so this is also an added bonus. Power gains from the 115 is usually up to 150/160 bhp which will be plenty due to the torque gains. You can go further by adding a second intercooler but this just adds to turbo lag. Hope this helps, Kev.
