Have just aquired a set of 15" BBS RA's
Now know that the 195/50/15 tyres i have will fit (from prev post - thanks guys).
The existing tyres on the wheels are 185/60/14! - How is it possible to have tyres for a 14" rim on a 15"?????
Anyone - Bueller?
-
no, i dout it,,,,sorry
-
hmm methinks your 15" wheels are 14" wheels
-
I'd say your new BBS are 14 inch mate

I agree, they must be off a polo or similar...
-
the measurement across the rim is not the size of the wheel.
the 14" castellet is 15" across, whilst the 15" castellet is 16" across.
-
^ Yep, you can't rely on a tape measure for the true diameter of a wheel.
This should help explain it

So were the 14" BBS ever fitted to a golf - say a H reg??
-
Fairly rare if they are 14" RAs sell em on a Polo forum mate, us G40 boys love em.
-
are they rare? i thought they were in abundance?! does that mean i've passed up many rare sets in scrap yards?!!!!!
-
Well they are pretty sought after that's for sure. Even 15" RAs seem to fetch decent money these days.
