Title: MK3 Car locks

Hi I have an N neg MK3 8V and at the moment am having problems locking and unlocking the car. At the turn of the key in the car door the is nothing.
Usually I might open fully to open window , i then have to put key in ignition to manually open the car. Any ideas? Thanks
