lol, wanted to know if its there any risk in taking the heat shield off on the down pipe? cars a mk3 gti 8v AGG engine code

Put a jubilee clip around it to stop it rattling.

If it wasn't needed it wouldn't be on there.

Alternatively, scrap the car.  This will solve the problem without a doubt.

Took it off last night due to the rattle. Have welded and all sorts but works itself loose, do hae a check and see if it's just full of stones though, loads fell out of mine so was probably just that :embarassed:

Fix with a jubilee clip and leave on.
