Title: MK4 2002 Gamma replacement to RCD-200 MP3 worth it?

hi all

i have a gamma stereo and single slot cd player and im wondering if anyone has any experience with the RCD-200 MP3 unit. They seem to be available on ebay with security code under £150 which sounds cheap for a proper double din mp3 unit.

Or am i best off just buying something like the JVC / pioneer unit

Im not looking at spending anymore than 150-200 on a headunit at the moment as im in need of a new set of alloys aswell as aero rear wiper etc.

As for the others I had the Pioneer's next model up which had built in bluetooth - had 18 months trouble free usage out of it (sold with the car)  :smiley:

Looks pretty good in the MK4 too

that pioneer looks nice, the current radio reception isnt that great i dont think with the gamma so am i likely to need a booster if i go with something like the pioneer?

I don't think that unit is suitable for the MK4 mate - looks more like a MK5 headunit to me  :undecided:  Unless its one of these Chinese type units which is designed to be retro-fitted  :undecided:

You'll need an adaptor / booster if you're fitting an after market headunit
