HI EVERYONE IVE SEEN THIS SPEEDO ON EBAY
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-GOLF-MK5-GTI-CLOCKS-SPEEDOMETER-SPEEDO-DIALS-2005-/220665056782?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3360a98e0e#ht_1356wt_1137
AND I AM THINKING OF BUYING IT TO FIT INTO MY MK5 GOLF TDI...
COULD ANYONE TELL ME IF THIS WOULD GO STRAIGHT IN OR WOULD IT BE IMPOSSIBLE?

Easy on the caps locks mate
It's possible, I don't know the complete ins and outs but it's definitely possible. It will need coding and you will need to get the SKC (secret key code) off it.

cheers mate..will i have to get this done from a electrician or will any garage be able to sort this out? cant wait to fit some gti speedos they look awesome

Depends on the coding and part numbers.
The data needs to be removed from the current clock and then plugged in to the GTI clock. This can take about an hour's labour. Can be done by VW too. Swapping the clocks physically is very easy. It's the data transfer that takes time. Also, requires specialist equipment which VW will definitely have but 99.9% of garages won't.
