Title: an audi 1.8t question

friends bought an 02 reg audi A4 with blown engine. need to replace it.
but the engine code is AVJ can we fit any other 1.8t engine in there?

[block and cylinder head should be the same.check with dealer.]

Basic engine I guess will be the same.
