Hi all
I've been reading through the various posts on here to gain some info on Bluetooth and also the RNS510
I'm in the process of getting a GTD with the 310 audio unit and no Bluetooth. I don't want to go down the VW after market or Parrot unit if I can help it. I've read the excellent "how to" from p3eps on fitting so was hoping somebody could tell me what parts I need to fit this in my car and how much they would cost - Does the latest version work with the iPhone4?
Also I assume I'd need it recoding in VAGcom? I live in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire - is there anyone near(ish) that could help with this for beer tokens?
For the RNS510, I see that you can get the newer LCD screen version - again from where / how much and does it need coding?
Thanks for all your help

Get the new 9W7 bluetooth that VW use in 2011 models.
It works fine with iPhone and integrates with the RNS and MFD.
You can also buy the original mounting part (for below the drivers seat) for just 10£ from your dealer.
You can buy a kit with the unit, cables and mic for 329£ on ebay.
But as you point out, you will need coding, but that is simple if you know someone with vagcom or pay your dealer for a recoding.

Just on the look out or an RNS now...

Now the Golf is here I want to do three mods
(i) RNS 510
(ii) Bluetooth phone
(iii) LED rears
Finances won't allow all three  so will look at 1 and 2 first.
Am I best going eBay and buying from Lithunia or Poland or staying in the UK.
Mortygt140/Darren - can you still get these (Model C/new screen type for the RNS510 and the phone kit that will work with the iPhone4) and if so can you let me know a price please
Also I understand I'd need these coding in VAGCOM - am I right in thinking you're in Leeds? If so, can you PM to let me know prices for coding and a roough idea of where in Leeds as well please
thanks

Adrian for the C version and Bluetooth your looking at £900 not cheap but you get quality equipment, Ive sold quite a few units on a few forums and all have been happy.
Cheers

Hi Darren
Would that include fitting / coding?
Also, how long a lead time is it to get these? <itchy feet!>
thanks
