Would anybody be able to help me out and post a picture, a diagram, or a page from a manual of where the crank position sensor is on an AGU engine. I need to know where and what I'm looking for before I get under the car
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

someone correct me if i'm wrong but isn't it under the cambelt cover? or is that a Cam position sensor?
if not then isn't there one on the bottom end of the cambelt? where the timing on the Cambelt is done...?

Crank Position sensor = impulse sensor = engine speed (rpm) sensor
Found a thread detailing position on a 2.0 - take a look down near the oil filter....
http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?4791388
Also on ukmkivs shows it on a 1.8 20v down near there too....
