Title: how to fit the rear adjusters in?
Post by: ams_sxi on 30 August 2010, 14:38
i could not work out how the rear adjusters go in on the springs in the mk5

i tried putting them in on the bottom of the spring but it looks like they will just slide over the place as there is no groove for them to go in?

anyone got a picture of how they should be fitted?

they are from AP coilovers if it helps

thanks

They just perch on the plate. Make sure you have them the right way up i.e part numbers facing the correct way up. You wouldn't believe how many people seem to mess that up.

Sorry mis read the question.

They go on the bottom, then you use the bottom plate to 'camp' the adjustor to the perch. Like this mk4 -

i don't think the mk5 is like this.

if i put the adjuster in at the bottom, there is no way i would be able to get the c spanner in to adjust it
