ive been out for a couple of test drives now and love them. i hear diffrent figers all the time so go check your car and write down what uve got!
-
Around Town london that is, I was getting 17-18 MPG, on a MWay 30-32 top wack
If your given it some then its less than the above???
-
:| hmmm im only 20 and the cost of the car is ok insurance for the ed30 is high but that all ok but just trying to keep all the rest of the costs down as much as i can!
i do like 25 miles up and down a A road everyday. i no im not going to get massive amounts of mpg but still
-
I do roughly 1000 miles per month, and i average 31mpg. On a motorway run i can get up to 37mpg. I've got a relatively light foot but i do give it the beans from time to time, usually averaging 20-25mpg on those runs.
Thats a mixture of small a/b-roads. I spend about £160 per month on fuel which i dont consider to be too bad.
-
you can all laugh now but ive only got a fiesta 1.6 and i only get 32mpg :| will the edition 30 drink much more + remaping will that be a issue with the mpg i no it wont improve when i boot it but ..............

The Ed30 is not a cheep car to run as far as petrol goes, it was costing me 60 quid week !! But if you want perfomance then it has to be th ED30 its a great car trust me!! I do miss mine
-
30 mpg :afro:
-
My long term average is 28mpg, mainly short motorway blasts. I have seen 39.8mpg though on a short run taking it easy as I needed fuel!
-
so the ed30's drink alot more than standerd gti's

That looks like a great car, but one thing i would check out is the colour of the wheels. Mine isnt an ED30 but i thought they had darker coloured alloys?
Im sure the ED30 owners will confirm shortly.
I've just been for a drive to take the girlfriend to a party, so wide A roads and some tight B roads, 25 mile round trip and i averaged 37.5mpg. I was taking it fairly easy, but there was 2 overtakes in there and i was at 60-65 on the wider roads. AND this is using normal 95RON fuel as i have tried BP Ultimate and found i actually got worse economy!

My previous car was a Fiat Panda 100HP, and i had to thrash it everywhere just to make it move, and that only averaged 39mpg!

I average 30 mpg in mine. That's mixed driving some motorway and some a roads with loads of roundabouts (huge fun:p)
It's not bad for a 230 bhp car imo
-
:) thanks gays looks like your going to have another ed30 owner
-
You can have mine it's going back :p
-
Mine will be back to "more or less" stock, by the end of the week and will be for sale for £14,995
It will include, still on the car at the time of sale.
REVO engine remap
REVO DSG stage 2 remap
Quaife limited slip diff (LSD)
The LSD is one of THE best mods for the Edition30/GTI and combined with REVO DSG software it makes the car what it should have always been from the factory. The diff will be considered a safety mod by the insurers too.

:) thanks gays looks like your going to have another ed30 owner

Mk6 GTI Bluefinned. On a very careful 24 mile run.
35 average at the moment.
Mk6 is around 7-10% better for mpg than my mk 5, Bluefin makes another 5 - 7% improvement depending how you drive.
-
:sad:Im driving a Pirelli with DSG and on motorway runs recently I have got 38 mpg, round town im averaging 25 -27. Getting fed up filling it but I cant expect to get anywhere near the economy of my last car, a 320d (even it wasnt to economical with the fuel).

Personally I'm disgusted at that picture...... go out and thrash it to get it down under 20mpg and I'll forgive you for criminal offences against the reasonable useage of GTI's act 2004

Guilty your honour.
It was a very painful experience and I will NEVER do it again.
