Title: Measuring Block 032
Post by: ansGTI on 28 August 2010, 15:38
I'm hoping someone can help me...

I have a cold start problem with my Edition 30, hich I've owned for little under a month:

I got the car from up Knaresborough & live in Hereford - I have a 3 month warranty so have opted to try the stealers in Hereford. They had it for two hours and found that something was out either with the fuel adaption or pressure, they adjusted this to bring it bak in line but the cold start and idle are no better. Anyway I started the car on Thursday and it pluttered at 400rpm for quite some time before smoothing out and raising to 1100rpm so drove it straight back to the stealers.

They have contacted VW technical who have asked them to log measuring block 032 (and possibly some others) as they think they can detect a leaky injector by doing this - is this true? What will the results from this measuring block tell them?

Thanks in advance

If it's the same as a mk4 measuring block 032 is for the fuel trims.
