Title: advice needed
Post by: sam..mk1 on 18 January 2005, 06:19
hey guys i have a few things planned for my car im just wondering which is the best way to go.
ive got a 1600 in my mk1 which is currently running off a modified 2ltr escort webber carbie at the moment, but my mate has a passat carbie tuned for a golf, which do you think will run better for accelaration etc.
also i am planning on lowering my car before i upgrade the 14 inch wheels on it now. is it worth waiting ages to buy new wheels then lower it or lowering it a certain height for upgrading to 15s or 16s at a later stage.
also im living in australia and im not running bumpers on my car. was just wondering how i stand on the laws in oz if anyone knows. if any one want to see pic of th car just let me know an ill email them as i cant figure out how to put them on here. any feedback would be great, thanks sam

Hi Sam

Guess Oz law maybe similar but I think still with UK law you'd be ok without bumpers as long as there are no sharp objects sticking out such as mounting brackets etc that could injure a pedstrian

Check out MK1 golf owners club too - I'm sure there was another chap from oz in there so maybe he would know for sure?!!
