Title: cold cathode lighthing

replaced them silly leds with a nice cold cathode tube like ya find in a pc, looks so much better its alot more vibrant and brighter can even see it on in the day light the camera has trouble picking it up but the mfa is the regular white bulb but its overpowered by the blue :D

Looks good mate, is it an easy job to do, and do you use a cathode tude from a pc?

was real easy just remove the dash and on top is a white part where the top 2 bulbs go it comes off if you heat the lugs up on oneside remove the filter and put the tube in there leaving the wires hanging out one ofthe holes then join it up with the switch wires for the side lights and there ya go leave the mfa bulb in tho or you wont be able to read it to well at night.

yer was a pc one for 12v had trouble getting the right length has to be about 10/15cm long to fit right not the width of the clocks that is too long.

whats a cold cathode? Is it what i would call a neon?

basically yer its like a neon its called a cold cathode because it doesnt get hot or produce heat when its on.
