Whats the likely hood of getting stretched on 17 rs6 with 7.5J (I think) and what do they look like compared to what I have on now which are budget
-
Excuse me?
Try tyrestretch.com

Sorry what I meant was I currently have Budget Tyres on nothing special by any means and if I upgrade and change tyres and aim for stretched a.would they do them for my baby 17 and b.what do they look like :embarassed:
So effectively they remove most of the rubber to make them look thinner?
-
Also where can I go to buy them as in which garages as I was told not all do sell them?
-
So you're asking for what tyre stretch will look like and pictures?
-
yes

Yeah, and they make them out of a special rubber compound called ruseriousinium to enable them to stretch better. Thats why stretched tyres cost more, even though they appear to be made of less material.

What he said, plus you need to make sure you get them pre-stretched if you want to run them on 17's.

   to get the stretched look you don't need special Tyres, the look is achieved by streching (theres the clue) a Tyre with a width that is alot smaller than the width of the wheel it is being fitted to,there are lots of examples on Tyre stretch.com as mentioned above, you will need to know the width of your wheels to know what Tyres you need to get the look you require, and you also need to know it's not big and it's not clever especially on a daily, the car will not handle the same and you need to remember this before throwing it into a corner.

Not another thread about this, I thought it was last week when someone asked the same question?
Does no one use the search function anymore?
That had the makings of a class wind up too
But here you go...
165 40 R17 Nankang NS2
The 165 refers to the width of the tyre, the 40 is the side aspect and R17 refers to the size of wheel it'll fit.
If you want them check out this site.
www.mytyres.co.uk they do tyres in the pic for 58.00 a corner plus fitting.
Happy?

They are twitchy and not everyone can live with them... might not be worth trying if you want it to feel the same as before. I don't find they affect the handling much, I throw mine into corners with just as much confindence, infact having got all new tyres it handles better than before!
