Okay, i know how to swap the old for new...but whats the easiest way to get the old one off the track-rod? ive tried pretty much everything and its just not budging.
How did you guys do yours?

heat and big spanners. my mk2 ones were proper siezed solid, took a pair of large spanners plus me jumping up n down on em to get the ends off, but this was off the car
-
i was thinking heat might be the answer lol. wasnt sure tho
-
Try using a bigger hammer!
-
lol, i was trying it yesterday with a big spanner with 2 huge scaffolding poles on the end for extra leverage...it was having none of it!
-
just wondering if this ever got removed LOL got mine on monday :(!
-
blow torch the old track rod. it will expand and make removal easier

just to add if its a manual steering car the passenger end is fixed to the track rod, so you'll need to change the whole thing
