Title: question on Injectors for 16Ver lads
Post by: clipperjay on 23 August 2010, 14:43
Well its been so bloody long since I've worked on the old gal I can't remember how far the ends of the injectors should stick out of the manifold collets? I've got them so the tip is just on the outside of the end collets. I can't remember is they protrude further? Anyone got pictures how far they stick into the block?
Cheers
Jay

Was going to say, injecter will typically sit in reasonably far as it's a DI engine.

They are tighter than a sixth former in a mini skirt!
I've tried to bang a flat rod to it with rubber hammer and still the fooker won't go past the end collets. Not sure if they will piss fuel out if I just leave them in that position alone?
Looks like a press jobbie but some tips from others would be good?

I lubed up the rubber donut and bang it in for all she's worth and its in now thanks all!
