Title: engine cut out!!

Hi guys had car few weeks now my 3rd mk2 golf, i have had the engine cut out on me a few times today when driving both times when slowing down comming up to junctions when revs are decreesing, i have put in a new battery the other day as the old one was low and wouldnt charge properly on a 12h charge, so battery should be ok, looking through the service history i see the alternator is not that old,

any one got any ideas whats cutting engine out?

im going to change plugs and leads tomorrow and possibly test the alternator if i can find my multimeter,

is there anything else i should be checking out?

Vacuum leaks with the servo?

Does it cut out when you put your foot on the brakes?

yea was slowing down to roundabout breaking and just cuts out, did it twice both while slowing down.

Foot on the clutch or just foot on brake pedal?

i have foot right down ready to change gear but cuts out befor chance, dont seam like a stall car dont jutter or anything was a quick cutout, the clutch peddle is very heavy tough.

check the idle switch clicks when throttle is closed, and check the wiring to the throttle switches hasnt snapped behind the throttle body. check over engine for air leaks from split vac hoses or a damaged PCV valve seal on the rocker cover

nice one mate ill check it all out not an expert but can follow a air hose and check for cracks lol.

found the problem today, fuel line going to injectors had a crack in it, started thismorning and petrol pumping out all over the place, changed the tubing and all working properly again now :)
