Title: Retro Wing Mirrors?
Post by: banterchicken on 22 August 2010, 12:48
Sorry to be the barer of crap threads but I was wondering if anyone has put some very retro looking wing mirrors on a mk2 before?

I was wondering if anyone makes any types similar to this for the golf, The kind of style I'm on about is like this however obviously not these as they would look poop!

Plenty of people have.

They all look ridiculous and pathetic, but you crack on.

early mk2 wing mirrors look a lot like the second pic you have there but just in plastic.

the austrian 'wicker' mk2 of a few years back had chrome mirrors in a similar style.

i'll leave diamond hell to give examples of all the others.

As JV said, early mk2's with quarter lights had them on, black plastic horrid things though.

I think they do suit mk1's better, but then chrome on mk1's generally does. I find they just don't sit right on a mk2. It's a marmite thing though.
