Title: 1994 golf 2.0 8v engine code 2e fuse box has been cut about
Post by: mike_E on 21 August 2010, 17:57
i could really do with some help i had brought this car and found that whilst driving it the car would stutter after 3000rpm and loose power on hills i have check most things i have put car on diognostic and no codes found so i looked at the relays and the wires have been cut and joined looks a right mess think they may have removed an alarm/imobiliser. i have small plugs not joined and it seems like the fuel pump relay is bypassed which i think is number 12 (80printed on it) the relay dosent warm up and it makes no difference if i unplug this. and also should the fuel pump be going continuasly with the ignition on without starting the engine, or dose it cut out when its upto pressure  if someone had any ideas what i can do to wire the fuel relay back in.I really really like this car and want to sort it out some how cheers

i found out that the fuel system has its own wiring loom but not 100% sure  if so has anyone got a wiring diagram of this becuse i have wires not conected and need to know if they have anyting to do with fuel loom then i may be able to rewire the relay back in. also do the wires for the fuel system conect into a block next to the fuse box because i dont see any were for the extra wires to plug in. i could do with a picture of the back of the fuse box im sure this will help me
