I have a 130 TDI, which yesterday without warning lost power, while I was on the motorway. Also when driving normally there was no turbo whistle and it felt as if the turbo was not working.
Started the car later in the evening and all was back to normal. I have been advised there may be a possibly problem with the boost control or airflow units. Anybody had similar problems or any ideas. I plan to get a remap in the near future and am a bit worried about an underlying problem.
Cheers
Ian

That sir is limp mode. Best bet is to get it scanned, what part of the country are you?

Sounds like you've hit the wonderful world of limp mode
Possible causes are -
sticking turbo vanes - get some Innotec Turbo Cleaner
boost leak under high pressure
faulty pressure control valve - aka N75

That was quick (not like my car yesterday!)
Thanks for the info, I am on the Wirral, my plan was to take it to Awesome in Manchester for a remap at some stage.

They should be able to pinpoint the problem then
