was driving along the other day and the handbrake light came up, handbrake obviously wasnt on, so i pulled over to check the brake fluid as this can also bring that light on, brake fluid was perfect. since then after iv been driving for about 10 mins it comes on. dont think its anything to do with wiring as the light does not flicker when the handbrake is moved, iv also scanned for faults and cant find any, Im stumped, any 1 have any idears??? :undecided:

Switch under handbrake faulty / failed

If its not the switch, I bet its the abs pump!

surely the abs pump would bring on the abs light not the handbrake light, it should also bring up a fault code on the ecu whitch it hasnt, and iv checked the switch seems to be working fine... really at a dead end, in the manual it says that light (!) is only responsible for the handbrake and the brakefluid

Will not be the abs pump, faulty sender on the fluid bottle.
