Title: Plastic door trims on outside of door
Post by: acordery on 19 August 2010, 14:10
I want to colour code the plastic trims that run along the outside of the mk3 golfs doors.
Is there a way I can paint them without taking them off? And will I simply be able to pop them back on if I do have to take them off? I want to paint them silver to give my golf a smoother look.

Thanks Alex

Just pull them off with care, any clips that may break are available from the dealers, but you should be OK if your gentle with them...
Don't forget to use a plastic primer before laying on the paint, otherwise it'll just flake off!

Alright thanks for letting me know. Does the primer need to be a colour or anything? Coz halfords only sell it in all different colours. I don't really know what I'm doing.
