Title: Problem with my 1.6 mk2
Post by: dymo on 19 August 2010, 10:07
I have Jetta mk2 1.6 with piersburg 2e2. Suddenly appeared such problem that with warm engine the idle is so low and some times engine dies when no gear on or i dont give gas.

My this helps.

with non-working engine this 3/4 unit or something like this looks like this:

when engine running its retracted too far, thats the over-run position. check the 2e2 faq, i suspect you have a disconnected vacuum hose or you have lost power to one/both of the electricl boxes on the back of the carby.

i see what looks like a snapped wire hanging down in pic 1, this could be the reason
