am i the only one who's getting bored of retro styled cars with things like roof racks full of fruit, surf boards, wicker, hay, etc?
don't get me wrong, i like a bit of originality, i like retro cars, i like modern cars, i like a bit of individuality but its the "extra touches" that are getting on my tits.
i'm always impressed with the time and effort that people go to to get there cars up to a standard that i could never be bothered to get. i like the whole oem+ thing and i love engine detailing and smoothing etc but the novelty of making your car like an episode of changing rooms is wearing a bit thin!
so whats the next trend we're gonna see? i can see alot more hot rod styles coming in. chrome is here to stay for a while, but going to extremes. any one else got any thoughts?

i agree about the roofracks mate, they look sh!t  they are an accessory, as in if you need to transport something that wont fit in your car use a roof rack. otherwise it stays in the garage

all that pineapple stuff on that mk1 in pvw last month was one too many!
I like theme cars, makes things interesting on an obvious non daily drive but most of us live in the real world
After all the money people have been spending on chrome mk1 bumpers I should think they will be around a bit longer. Subtle styling - timeless

roof racks looks nice on beetles / buses but not into em on golfs to be honest!

I hear ya Joe! What's next? For my next mod I'm taking the roof-rack thing to the next level and gonna get a towbar and hook up a box-trailer full of scantily-clad Hip-Hop video honeyz!
Meanwhile back in the real world, I'll probably just end up getting some of those smoked mk4 style headlights

I'm still loving the "Old Skool" Style. I think the orange mk1 in this months Golf+ is gorgeous. Retro is great, but too much retro styling does spoil things.

Retro is cool, but i like it when things have a few subtle mods but still mainly look like they have just come off the production line!!
But those roof racks, nooooooooooo, its been done too much and people are just copying now
