having more time than cash at the moment doing lots of free stuff to the car, de-arched and de-skirted it yesterday, pleasently suprised by complete lack of rust, not so chuffed with the large dent in the sill and chunk of un-sanded filler init, but was wondering if there are side trims that will cover the gaps at the ends, i'm sure i read about changing to gl trims, but do they make 3door gl's, i'm guessing not.
going for a kind of semi rat sleeper look, de-trimmed and de-badged, want some 16" steels and a slight drop, possibly only about 40mm, for the time being been abusing the standard fit alloys, which were pretty chewed up, firstly sprayed them satin black with just a slight mist of black pearl over, then when they were off to de-trim decided i really didnt like the flowery detail around the bolt holes, so broke out the angle grinder and flatened the centres out and blew them over again.
not to everyones taste but each to their own, like 4x4's, rat street fighter bikes and old sckool rat dubs, so just kind of playing about trying to find a look i like.
by contrast my boy has just got a '97 4 door 8v he wants to clean up and return fully to standard.
if i can work out how i will stick some photos up so i can get some structured abuse for the masses.

3 door lower spec mk3 trims are what you want, cl or whatever

As above, complete CL trims are what you need.

wasnt sure they did 3 doors in lover spec, showing my newbie status in the mk3 field, will get on looking for some.
