Hi,
Just got an '03 1.9 GT Tdi 150.
Wanted something with some punch for long Scottish mountain roads and suitably impressed. Found this forum and hoping to use it to answer many questions.

The first of which though would be... a VW used car dealer told me he'd never touch a 150, but raved about the 130. Said the camshafts were soft, anything I can do prevent any problems?

Welcome, just keep your servicing up to date or sell at the first sign of any trouble. :smiley:

Welcome - the guy probably had a 130 to sell at more profit, i never listen to a word out of a salesman mouth
