Hi
trying to go with a green light theme on my vr project except obviously the head lights, was going to take out the fogs and smooth over the holes, but want some green front indicators,do they make them????
-
They sure did:

They also made blue:

Hella made them in the 90s and maybe very early 00s. They are out of production now. Insanely rare and will set you back a decent sum of money if you find genuine ones. However, you can also make out own with the right kind of paint and some clear OEM indicators and blanks.

A picture of the greens fitted:

It's a genuine harlequin edition before anyone asks.
-
them greens really suit that thing
i remember them when they were in production, cant imagine many been left around now, but their was a time coloured lenses were very big...it was pre lexus lights
-
I doubt you will find green ones or even blue ones anywhere...Probably very rare, because no one liked them, LOL
Your best bet would be to get clear ones and tint them green.
But anyway, your indicators will flash green? WTF
-
Horrid
-
haha, those indiactors make it look like a matchbox car!
however.
what with the whole 'dub scene' thing going on at the mo and how its 'cool' to
*chequerboard*
*fit a bonnet bra*
*affix various surf stickers*
its great to see someone trying to go down a different route nice one walkerboy

Looks so good on that harlequin!

I was only a kid back then, but a buddy of mine told me a story about his friend with a flip paint Civic in the mid 90s. He didn't like the look of the standard tail lights, so my buddy split them and did a joey-mod on them using the left over flip paint. People went nuts for them  I have to admit it's a lot more interesting than pretty much any aftermarket light for the early 90s Civics.
-
got the back colour magic green lights so wanted to do the whole lot green, not sure about the head lights tho(prob wont be able to.lol)
car is being sprayed matt dark green, bay going same colour and colour theme is silver(calipers and engine),black(engine and interior) and matt dark green, think it should look sweet, something different dont you think
-
will have to make my own me thinks,in that case i might smooth over the fog lights ect and leave the indicators

yep, i did that on my swift GTI, which by that time also had the flip paint (first in LEEDS) still got it infact, but the rear lights were changed, i ran full reds, tinted by myself
-
kells do you reckon i colud film the head lights??????
-
are the standard indicators stuck together or can you get them apart?????
-
I like the idea it's some thing different! I'm sure you can some sort of class product where you can paint it green

I thought you would have known that zdebx....
Are they not illegal :undecided:
He's got red indicator lenses, so green bulbs will flash amber ;)
-
yer just looked into it,duplicolour should do it,just hope it matches the green of the side repeaters and back lights dude
-
Wherry, yeah, I was 100% sure about that red/green bulb combination too, but I changed my mind since then, because even when I had my red rears with green bulbs, the indicators were still flashing kind of red'ish...not amber.
-

yeah man, id try the tint spray tho then a clear shiny top coat as im not sure you can get green film ?
im interested to see what you come up with in regards to all your lights and lenses

What might work for the headlights is to joey-mod some mk4 style lights, like on this harlequin:
I think a black car with green lights all around could look sweet. Very different but it might work really well  I've seen a black mk3 with the colour magic blue rear lights and it looked mental, but the guy had clear front lights. I say go for it :afro:
Some more green indicators:

the car is goin matt dark green dude
kells u meanin the headlights tinting them bro???
-
jimp its going vento style dude
-
Whoops sorry, I missed that post :embarassed: Still though, you could do the same with Vento headlights. The green joey-mod might not work too well with stock ones but the aftermarket ones like FK Powerlooks or the projectors on German Ebay would work.
-
will have a look into it dude
-
yeah i did mate, and for the others too if you cant find the green ones
and, Oh no not another vento front ender... haha
-
sorry kells
had to do it me old fruit.lol
the vento lights ive got are slightly smoked,is it still gonna work????
-
jimp ur ride does look tidey bro
-
the only thing im worries about is matching the paint with the rest of the lights on the car
-

If you do want to mod some vento lights green would you be interested in a swap for some non tinted Hella headlights? I'm after some dark tinted ones for my vento.
-
to be honest dude i might actually keep the vento front end as well as the original front so i can swap over
-
Yeah,I mean swap my clear vento lights for your tinted vento lights?
