Title: Painting my rocker cover and cambelt cover
Post by: Pearce69 on 16 August 2010, 19:56
Hey guys

Well as title really, iv sanded them sown as best i can but they are a little rusty, iv used halfords own high temp paint in black but it looks really dull and it wants being a gloss look. Should i use a high temp lacquer or is there any gloss high temp paint i can get? Whats hammerite paint like and is satin or hammered shiny?

Cheers

I didn't even paint my block in high-temp paint! Standard hammerite will do you fine.

Gloss finish is gloss
Satin finish is satin
Hammered finish is, you guessed it, hammered

Just read what it says on the tin.

LOL fair enough, the stuff im using atm is going really rough every time i spray it, not really sure why, iv sanded it down with 1200 and it went smooth but it doesnt seem to stick well, it says to spray straight on without primer aswell.
