just a quick one, is there any difference between brake pads for an 8v 16v and vr6.
cheers..

Early 8v and 16v had 280mm dia discs and apropriate pads.
Later versions had 288mm discs and appropriate pads.
VR6 had the 288mm discs and pads. (Not 100% sure if the early VR6 had 280mm version)
All the 280mm versions are the same and all the 288mm versions are the same.

Yep, there is quite a price difference from the 280 and the 288 disks.
When I had my mk3 some numpty put 280mm disks on my 1997. The pads were ruined.
